ARC FLASH STUDIES

The best reason for increased awareness and understanding of arc flash hazards is to prevent injuries. Statistics presented from a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health study showed that during the period from 1992 through 2001, there were 44,363 electrical-related injuries involving days away from work. The number of nonfatal electrical shock injuries was 27,262, while 17,101 injuries were caused by electric arc flash burns.

ELECTRICAL TESTING

Our experience with all levels of power distribution allows QP Testing professionals to maximize your return in your facility’s power system investment. Our Field Engineers each have over 40 years of experience testing switchgear for our customers. We provide primary injection & secondary injection testing of their circuit breakers, transformer testing, relay calibration, & cable testing at our customers’ site.

Breaker Repair

REPAIR

Our team of repair experts visually inspects each breaker for worn or missing mechanisms. They perform electrical testing and analysis to determine any issues with the breaker. Upon approval for repair, defective parts are removed and replaced with new parts. A final test and inspection are performed before the breaker is returned.

REFURBISH

During the breaker refurbishment process, our expert technicians completely disassemble, inspect, clean, and plate and paint if required. We then reassemble the breaker with replacement parts before a final test and inspection prior to shipment.

RETROFIT

Our Industrial circuit breaker retrofitting services can provide a more robust and reliable system to reduce losses that can happen during down time and upgrades. Retrofit components can be installed using existing facilities, require no additional space, and can save up to four times and space of replacement with new systems.
